WHAT TO WEAR WHILE TRAVELING:
ON AN AEROPLANE:
ON A BOAT:
IN A CAR:
ON A BUS:
ON A TRAIN:
WHILE YOU WALK AROUND A NEW PLACE:
WHY DOES IT MATTER WHAT YOU WEAR WHILE TRAVELING?
Well, the thing is, comfort and beauty matter. Of course you can wear whatever you want, that's up to you, but here today we are talking about people who actually care about how they look when traveling. Looking stylish and presentable anywhere you go is important, the idea isn't to look expensive or to wear designer labels or the most expensive things you own (I mean you can if you want to). The idea is to wear
beautiful comfortable and airy clothes that suit your body.
WHAT TO STAY AWAY FROM?
I would stay away from clothes that look like raggedy old pj's, anything too tight, and high heels. Never wear these as they make you look cheap.
Anything that has been over worn, has holes in them, paint, rips, missing buttons, badly made and overall any synthetic clothes.
WHAT TO WEAR:
The best clothes to wear are monochromatic clothes in cotton, preferably ones that match, with very little pattern, and appropriate for the climate.
Short sleeve for summer and long sleeve for winter plus a jumper and jacket or coat.
You can wear whatever colour you want, no need to just go for neutrals,
I must admit I don't do well with neutrals only, I love to mix in colour.
You could do two colours at most, or you start to look like a Christmas tree.
WHAT TO WEAR ONCE YOU GET TO YOUR DESTINATION?
This is up to you again, but if you would like some tips from me, this is what I suggest.
Take at least 5 cute dresses and comfortable white sneakers. Carry a small cross-body bag or small backpack with your essentials (phone, wallet, passport, lip-gloss, paper & pen, keys, camera, tissues, travel info, your hotel address, tickets, sunglasses, reading glasses, sunscreen, currency from the country you are visiting, and the most important in my opinion is water).
You may also want to bring with you some tights, a pair of comfortable pants, and if you enjoy wearing skirts then take that with you as well.
WHAT STYLE OF CLOTHING TO WEAR?
If you are going to place that demands something specific from you, places where you have to cover your body and head, then you must comply with the traditions.
Otherwise, you are free to wear your own style, but try to elevate it by a bit.
No need to go out and buy a whole brand-new wardrobe, that would be a total waste of money and resources as you may only wear these clothes once and never touch them again. So, go thru your wardrobe at least 4-5 weeks before the holiday and try on
as many outfits as you possibly can and take photos of yourself in the mirror if possible. Look at them a week later and see which ones you like the look of the most on yourself.
And pack them in your suitcase, never leave this for the last minute or you will never have the time to find the best outfits when you're in a rush with anxiety.
Only then should you purchase anything that is missing from your wardrobe, but surely you would have most things you need in your house.
If you have a boho, ethereal, classic, modern, eclectic, preppy, sexy, conservative, minimal, neutral, or mixed look wardrobe, go with that. Don't change your whole wardrobe to a look that you don't already have. just because you want to try something else out, this isn't the time to be trying new things out. When traveling you want to feel yourself as much as possible, or you won't enjoy the experience.
And most of the time, when you go to a new place, you will most likely purchase a few clothing items from the local area, to blend in and fit in, that's the most fun part about traveling to a new country. But remember, once you get back home, you will never use those items again. I never have, they usually do not match the lifestyle I have back home. You might, and I hope you do.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU RUN OUT OF CLOTHES WHILE TRAVELING?
You can either wash your clothes by hand, or if they have a cleaning service go to it.
Or worst to worst, this is when you can go out and buy something new.
But most people tend to wear the same things on rotate if they aren't too dirty.
Try to pack enough for the days you are going if it's only up to 5-6 days.
Anything longer than a week, you will just need to rotate your clothes, but this is where learning to bring a type of capsule wardrobe is important, to take things that can be mixed and matched, unless it's a dress. I always prefer to take short dresses with me, so I don't have to think about mixing and matching clothes, it's a full outfit already.
The simpler you make your life, the easier it will be.
I hope that helped. Thanks for reading and supporting me. See you on the next one.
