HOW TO WEAR YOUR MAKE-UP IN YOUR 40'S AND 50'S:
I have never spoken about make-up and I'm not sure why. I'm no expert by any means. I'm sure there are a lot of us who wore a ton of make-up in our 20's and 30's.
I can remember going to bed with a full face of make-up after a big
night out. I would never do that now.
Firstly, I barely wear any make-up anymore, unlike in my 20's where I would never leave the house without a full face on. That was exhausting.
And secondly, who has time for that now?
Although I did have a lot to hide, I have spoken about my cystic acne before, I have a
much cleaner face now after much love and care has gone into it.
And I think changing my diet drastically and doing exercise has made the difference too.
Get rid of foundation, it clogs up your pores and it doesn't look natural.
Just moisturise your face once a day if you have oily skin,
and you will be fine.
WHAT ARE MY TWO SIMPLE TIPS YOU NEED TO KNOW?
I have two simple rules I abide by now, they are:
1) If you put heavy eye make-up (eg: smokey eyes), then you
only gloss your lips, or wear skin toned lipstick.
2) And if you put a heavy lip colour (eg: dark red or purple),
then you only put mascara, or you can add a little neutral eye shadow.
With these two rules your face will always look balanced.
Not like a clown. You never want to leave your house overdone.
THESE ARE THE LOOKS:
Smokey Eyes:
Dark/Bright Lips:
If you follow these two simple rules you will always look amazing and put together.
If you do not like make-up at all, this post is definitely not for you.
