SHOES

Let's talk about shoes...

Let's face it, we all have to wear shoes, and who doesn't love them?

Whether you have many or just a few, we all take pride in the shoes we own and wear.

Personally, I don't care about brand names, as long as they are of good quality, and I get home after a long day out without any pain or blisters they are a keeper.

A BIT ABOUT THE MAKING OF SHOES:

"More than 100 operations go into the construction of a shoe. The first and most important step is the creation of the last, a hand-carved wood or molded plastic replica of the human foot. It alone determines the contour of the arch and how evenly the wearer's weight will be distributed throughout the foot, both of which are critical in establishing comfort.

A different last is required for each shoe style, whether the shoe is handmade or mass produced. Lastmaking demands great skill and a trained eye for fashion.

After recording as many as 35 measurements from a "footprint" that shows the distribution of body weight, the maker judges the symmetry of the toes, calculates the height of the big toe and the contour of the instep. He also estimates how the foot will move inside the shoe."

TYPES OF SHOES TO CHOOSE FROM (and much more...) :

Thongs Ballet Flats Kitten Heels

High Heels Boots

MY THOUGHTS :

If you're going to go minimal, I would suggest three pairs of shoes are the bare minimum, they are a must. Buy leather or a very high quality pleather are your best choices. As for the type of shoes to buy, this all depends on your style, where you'll wear them, and the height of the heel, are the three main factors to factor in when choosing shoes. Without trying to offend anyone here, high heels were made for short (shorter) people to get the height they need and want. I strongly recommend and suggest tall women stop wearing high heels altogether. You don't need the height, you already have it. Chances are, you already have long legs, no matter what weight you carry. Shorter women can wear any length of high heel, even a 10-inch heel, as long as you are anything under 5'5 inches. Anything over 5'6 inches, you can go without heels.

Comment below if you agree or not.

MORE ABOUT SHOES :

Make sure to wear the appropriate shoes to the right place where you are going. The beach needs slip-ons or thongs. But try not to wear the plastic ones as they are just cheap looking and not classy at all. Around the house, when guests are around, wear some nice slip-ons as well. When going shopping you want to be very comfortable as you will be walking quite a bit and might need to try things on, this is where you can wear some cute ballet flats, volleys or any other comfy but trendy shoes. Going to work, you need good quality black leather shoes (depending on where you work of course). And if you are going out at night or to a wedding, you need fancy blingy shoes. Try not to buy shoes online, from my own experience, it doesn't always end well. It is best to try them on in store and best to buy locally near you, so as to be able to exchange them, if need be.

TIP : Never wear high heel stilettos during the day. This is a tacky look. Going to a wedding is the only exception. Men, be aware of the shoes you wear, do your research as to what to wear to specific places. And make it your own style.

Sneakers and jeans for a casual look. And leather shoes or boots for dressy. Easy.
