WHAT IS A CAPSULE WARDROBE?
A capsule wardrobe is a very well-rounded wardrobe that has every essential
piece you need as a base for every outfit, it also has variety in each category,
and has no gaps in every category to make complete outfits on a daily basis.
This includes:
T-shirts (All colours and styles).
Pants (Business pants, Casual pants, Cargo pants, Tracksuit pants, etc).

WHAT DO YOU NEED FOR A CAPSULE WARDROBE?
Firstly, every single person has a very different lifestyle, so you need to look at
what you do in a week and work it out from there. If you go to work for 5 days
via car or public transport, what type pf job you do, then do you go to the
gym, a sport, or a hobby after work. Do you have young or older children.
Do you go out at night or not at all. Do you go to any events during the
week? Do you take your pets for a walk? Do you go to group clubs
and gatherings? Or are you just a homebody? I'm guessing if you are
reding this, you have an active life, and want to learn how to manage
your outfits a bit better. These questions will determine what
type of clothes you will need for your well-rounded capsule
wardrobe.

HOW MANY PIECES DO YOU NEED FOR A CAPSULE WARDROBE?
This also depends on how active you are and how many categories you need
each week. Say you go to work 3-5 days a week, you go to the gym,
you take your pets for a walk, and you occasionally go for a coffee
with friends out in public. A normal capsule wardrobe would
consist of 30-50 pieces but I disagree with this number.
I think it is purely personal and you can have as many as you
like, as long as you can cover all the categories you need for your
specific lifestyle. Think of it as:
Work wear (5-10 outfits).
Gym wear (3-5 outfits).
Casual/Sport wear (3-5 outfits).
Smart Casual outfits (5-10 outfits).
Nightwear outfits (3-5 outfits).
Formal wear (1 outfit).
Winter/ Summer (a different capsule for each season).
You may choose darker colours for winter and lighter for summer.

WHY HAVE A CAPSULE WARDROBE?
Because it makes life so much easier and it deletes decision fatigue.
You'll never open your closet and say you have nothing to wear ever again
as everything you own will match with each other, you won't have any gaps in
your outfits, and you'll stop wasting money buying trends that last a week.

HOW TO ADD YOUR PERSONALITY AND PERSONAL TOUCH TO YOUR WARDROBE?
Once you have all the essentials and basic pieces, this is where the fun begins.
You can add pops of colour or something bold like chunky jewellery or
something loud like a very colourful jacket, as long as you know
you will wear this piece over and over. No point in buying things you
just keep on a hanger in your closet, that defeats the purpose of
a capsule wardrobe. You can also buy elevated basics which make
them less boring and plain, but only after you have filled the
right amount of basics as you will still need plain
clothes to work as background pieces to your more bold
outfits. Do not underestimate plain clothes/basics.

WILL A CASPULE WARDOBE CHANGE THE WAY I DRESS EVERY DAY?
Yes, yes and yes. Capsule wardrobes are the best thing ever invented for anyone
who loves fashion, loves to be put together every day and for those who want to
be effortless and not have to think too much about their outfits every
morning. I used to think it was a gimmick, but once I worked out my capsule
wardrobe it changed everything. Mind you I do not own only 33 pieces,
that just isn't enough for the style I like, and I'm not into things that restrict me.

MY BEST TIPS:
1) To watch YouTube videos on Capsule Wardrobes to see exactly how to do it
from scratch if you have no idea where to start.
2) Make sure to have all your bases covered, with all of the pieces you need
in each category of your wardrobe before stopping to shop for a long time.
This will save you headaches, money and energy.
Your future self will thank you.
3) Try to buy natural fabrics as much as you can, or start replacing synthetics
with cotton, wool, cashmere, mohair, silk and linen, slowly and one
at a time as they can be a bit more expensive.
4) Don't try to overhaul your whole wardrobe in one week.
5) Thank your old self for getting you to this point, bless and release.
6) Your new self will emerge slowly as you go thru the process.
