WHY HAVE LESS, WHEN YOU CAN HAVE MORE?
If you want a simpler life, you only need a certain amount of clothes
to live a full and happy life. I cannot say I have a small amount of clothes
due to my fashion background, but if I could do it all again I
would make sure to find my style sooner than later,
and having much, much less choices. For me, the more I need to decide
each day what I want to wear, this gives me decision fatigue,
and somehow stresses me out for the start of the day.
What about you?
So, as you see, it can only be a benefit to have less.
You'd think that having less would make life harder due to needing to wash
your clothes each time you wear them, but I have found that when
I have multiples of the same thing, I do not worry about it at all.
You may think that wearing the same thing many times a week will
make you look boring, or it might actually bore you, or that others may
think you are constantly wearing the same boring things.
But I find that no one cares what you wear, as long as you are clean
and tidy, with clothes that have no holes, rips or paint on them.
Less is more in many ways. Less fuss, less purchases, less choices,
less to move around, and less wastage on the planet.
How can any of these things be bad?
What do you do if you have too many clothes and you want to limit them?
Well, the best way to decrease your number of clothes is to
go through your whole wardrobe, from drawers, to
cupboards and shelves, to any nooks and cranies you have stuffed
clothes in. Go through them one by one and donate, sell or throw away
any clothes you haven't worn in over 2 years. Put winter and summer
clothes in two piles to keep and get rid of the rest.
Even though you can purchase clothes at very low prices doesn't mean you need to own them. Unless they are ones you actually use.
What if you have pieces missing?
This is not to say you are never allowed to ever purchase clothes again, if you see
your whole wardrobe and see some pieces that you actually need, then buy them.
But don't just get rid of things only to buy more, that just defeats the purpose
of having less.
What are the key pieces you need in your wardrobe?

The end of another fashion blog post and I hope this was an interesting one for you.
Each person's wardrobe is individual, but the overall approach is the same. And that is what I try to show you, that you may have a totally different style, but that is ok.
See you on the next one...bye! The Style Secrets.
